Swindon Dance YDA students
Workshops
Workshops offer an opportunity for participants to explore technique, improvisation, and choreographic processes. Workshops can also be tailored to address curricula and cross-curricula themes.
Residencies
Dance Residency
Dance Residencies provide participants the opportunity to work intensively on the creation of a performance piece, participants gain a greater insight into specific dance styles as well as the choreographic processes involved in creating a piece. Residencies can also be tailored to individual requirements.

Parkour and Dance Residency
This programme brings together contemporary dance/Hip-Hop & Street incorporating the physicality, strength, coordination and freedom of movement explored in parkour/free-running.

Dance and Film Residency
Working with a choreographer and film artist participants create a performance piece, which is then filmed on location.

Dance for the Camera Residency
During this residency participants are taught the importance of filming dance for the camera. Exploring the processes participants gain filming experience, as well as editing and exploring site-specific spaces for filming.

Workshops and residencies culminate with a sharing of work; in addition there will be an opportunity for a question and answer session, which is lead by tutors.
