Joyce Gyimah is the creative and strategic driving force behind Dance physics.

Her training began at Lewisham college followed by degree level study at The Laban Centre for Movement and Dance. Joyce has worked as a freelance dance artist and manager for a range of dance institutions and organisations including Laban, Greenwich Dance Agency, Greenwich Musical Theatre, Union Dance, UK Foundation for Dance and Tavaziva Dance.

Joyce has delivered and facilitated workshops, residencies and choreographic projects in a range of dance styles. Joyce is well known for her passion for teaching Mattox Jazz technique, as well as Contemporary and creative dance workshops.

As a performer Joyce has worked with a variety of small to mid scale companies including Adzido and Martial Dance.

With over 10 years experience in dance management, consultation and delivery, she has helped organisations and individuals re-shape and develop a range of movement based activities.

Joyce's strengths are in motivation and communication while understanding the challenges that face organisations and emerging artists. She is an advocate of dance and other forms of physical activity. Her experience working in the dance sector as an artist and manager has helped her develop innovative and creative thinking from a unique perspective.
Joyce is a member of the Independant Dance Management Network (IDMN).

Dance Physics creative program is delivered by professional and committed dance artists. The team is made up of excellent practitioners and performers working in the classical, commercial, modern and contemporary field.

Julia Kalache draws and paints the movement of dancers in real time whilst on location in dance studios and stages across Europe. Her artistic practice is inspired by her previous work as a costume designer, where she would regularly watch dance rehearsals and classes. Using watercolour, pencil and ink she endeavours to capture the spirit behind dance movements, as well as it's physicality. Julia's dance illustrations are currently being exhibited at the Moving Arts Base in Islington.
